I painted this recently, and I am quite pleased with the way the ideas I had in my head got translated onto the canvas. I call it Sacred Ivy:
Medium: oil paints on canvas.
I have always been fascinated with the ivy motif, not sure why. I think it's something in my subconscious. In high school, whenever I would doodle in classes (cause, God forbid I would study or do work :) I would always come up with a drawing of leaves, or spirals,or leaves sprouting from a spiral.
And later on, when I moved out of my mom's house into my own place, I painted my old yellow closet doors with a bright green ivy with pretty flowers on it... and in the appt I live in now, I am planning to fill it with more ivy-themed artsy thingies.
Also, it was only through me using them that I found out that Oil paints take WEEKS to dry, they are a medium that one has to have a lot of patience with. So, actually, what I'm saying is that it is an actual miracle that I've finished this painting :)
